Seabird Connect — Privacy Policy

Seabird Connect is an internal application for employees and authorised contractors of Seabird Logisolutions and the Parekh Global group. It is not a consumer service and accounts cannot be created from inside the app — they are issued by your employer.

This policy covers the Connect web portal at parekhglobal.tech and the Connect Android application.

In short. We hold the employment and contact details your employer already holds, plus a record of when and from where you signed in. We do not sell anything, we do not advertise, and we do not share your information with third parties for their own purposes.

1. Who is responsible

Seabird Logisolutions Pvt. Ltd. is the data controller. Questions, requests and complaints go to the contact address at the end of this page.

What we do not collect

No GPS or precise location. Your IP address is resolved to a country only, to enforce the India-only restriction — never to a city, address or coordinate.
No contacts, call logs, SMS or calendar.
No advertising or analytics identifiers. Connect contains no advertising and no third-party tracking.
No microphone or continuous camera access. The camera opens only when you choose to take a profile photo.

3. Android app permissions

The camera is opened through your device's own camera app when you choose to take a profile photo, so Connect never holds a standing camera permission.

4. Password and photo handling

Passwords are stored only as a one-way cryptographic hash. Nobody at Seabird, including administrators, can read your password. Administrators can issue a new temporary password, which you must change on first use.

Uploaded photos are decoded and re-encoded by the server before storage. This removes any embedded metadata, including camera EXIF data and any location tag your phone may have attached.

5. Who your information is shared with

Connect uses single sign-on, so signing in once gives you access to the applications your role permits — Saksham, Sampark, Kaizen, MIS and HR. Those applications receive your identity so they can recognise you. They are all operated by Seabird Logisolutions and the Parekh Global group.

Outside that, information is disclosed only:

to our hosting and email providers, strictly to run the service;
to Google, if you choose to sign in with your Google account, in which case Google's own privacy policy applies to that sign-in;
where required by law.

We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.

6. How long we keep it

Account records — for the duration of your engagement, and afterwards for as long as employment records must be retained.
Security and audit logs — retained for a limited period for security review, then deleted.
Sessions — expire automatically and are removed when you sign out.

7. Your choices

Inside the app, under My details, you can change your username, email address, mobile number and date of birth, add or remove your profile photo, and change your password at any time.

Account deletion

Connect accounts belong to your employment, not to the app, so you cannot delete your own account from inside it — doing so would remove records the company is required to keep. To have your account deactivated or your data erased, write to the address below or contact your HR representative. We will respond within 30 days and explain what can be erased and what must be retained for statutory reasons.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit over HTTPS. Access is limited to what your role requires, administrative activity is logged, repeated failed sign-ins lock the account, and access is restricted to connections originating in India. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat this data as confidential employee information and protect it accordingly.

9. Children

Connect is used only by employees and authorised contractors. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and notify employees through the usual internal channels.
